This study was carrired out to the effects of methanol fraction of Lonicerae flos on cadmium cytotoxicity and to develop antitoxic agents based on the effects.
The experimental group for cadmium cytotoxicity were divided into 5 groups; one medium alone treated group, 4 cadmium treated groups(1, 25, 50, 100μM concentration) and for repaired effects were divided into 7 groups; one medium alone treated
group,
IC50 cadmium treated group and 5 fraction treated groups (IC50 cadmium concentration plus 10E-4) concentration of each methanol fraction).
After incubation for 48hr under the same conditions, MTT(tetrazolium MTT), NR(neutral red) and SRB(sulforhodamine B protein) assay were performed. Light microscopic finding were observed.

@EN 1. MTT50, NR50 and SRB50 concentration by cadmium(IC50) were 27.99μM, 28.31μM and 54.72μM respectively.
2. For repairing effect with MTT, NR, SRB, soluble ethyl acetate and soluble n-butanol fraction of Lonicerae flos extract were significantly different from the other fraction.
3. In light microscopy, soluble ethyl acetate and soluble n-butanol fractions showed more regeneration than other fraction.
